In 1858, the DUCOURT family settled at Château des Combes in Ladaux, a small rural village southeast of Bordeaux. Over the years, with the succession of generations, the passion for wine became a profession. Today, the Ducourt family constitutes one of the largest independent winemaking units in the region: 440 hectares of vineyards spread over 13 Châteaux in the Entre Deux Mers and Saint Emilionnais regions. Château La Rose Saint-Germain was acquired by the Ducourt family in 1971. Chateau La Rose Sain-Germain Rouge is ruby red in color; the nose smells of ripe fruit and spices, with roasted notes; the palate has an elegant, full-bodied and balanced tannic structure, with a long, fruity finish
